Cheap car hire at Chania Airport (Greece) from local companies: meet & greet in arrivals and full insurance options.
Chania Airport (CHQ) sits on the Akrotiri peninsula, around 15 km from Chania town, and is the main airport for western Crete. Many local rental companies meet you in the arrivals hall or right outside with your car, so you can be on the road within minutes. From the airport, the road leads into Chania and on to the national highway, east towards Rethymno and Heraklion or west towards Kissamos, Balos and Falassarna. Booking ahead is wise from June to September, when automatics and no-deposit cars sell out first.
