Cheap car hire at Thessaloniki Airport (Greece) from local companies: meet & greet in arrivals and full insurance options.
Thessaloniki Airport (SKG), Makedonia, lies on the coast about 15 km south-east of the city and is the closest airport to Halkidiki. Many visitors pick up a car here and drive straight to the resorts of Kassandra and Sithonia without entering the city at all. Companies meet you at arrivals or run a short shuttle. The ring road links the airport to the motorways west towards Olympus and Meteora and east towards Kavala, making it a good start for any northern Greece road trip.
